Having people work on dedicated tasks makes the project flow smoother While we were happy with the amount of work we got done during the jam, there were more than a few times where a team member didn't have a clear part of the project to work on, so they would add small parts to the project while waiting for something more substantial to work on. Having a short meeting once at the top of each day and keeping track of a "to do" chart would have helped the team stay at maximum productivity through the entirety of the project.
Playtest early and often One of our plans that we didn't get to in the development period was getting playtesters to give feedback on the game. Once the jam was over and feedback from the community started pouring in, there were many tweaks that would have been easy to implement within the time period. With the feedback obtained, we can now realign the rest of the project to fix some of the needs of the players. Future and frequent playtests will also inform the trajectory of the game's production.
